As demands change, so must technology.
Building on DeWind’s proven 2.0 MW series that has been in commercial operation since 2002, with increasing demands for network compatibility, power quality and reliability, DeWind is proud to offer the grid friendly D9.2.
Developed from the innovative D8.2, introduced in 2006, the D9.2 is the same robust, reliable drive train, providing unmatched grid support and power quality with increased conversion efficiency from the larger 93 m rotor.
DEWIND D9 Family
-
DeWind is reacting to the demand of higher yields and greater efficiency with the introduction of its new DeWind D9. Years of experience in the design of high-yield, lightweight turbines are being brought together in this launch.
The DeWind D9 series will be available with a rotor diameter of 93 meters, hub heights of 80 or 100 meters and a nominal output of 2 megawatts. Based on the experience gained from the DeWind D8 family, a range of different design concepts will be offered to suit different markets.
The DeWind D9.1 is intended for international markets, with models suitable for 50 or 60-Hz grids. The turbine is equipped with a three stage gearbox, a permanent magnet synchronous generator and an IGBT pulse width converter. It is characterized by increased network compatibility and better yields compared with the DeWind D8.0. It is offered as an alternative to the DeWind D9.2.
-
Based on the DeWind D8.2, the DeWind D9.2 is offered on international markets in versions suitable for 50 or 60-Hz grids. The unit achieves extremely high availability levels and improved network compatibility.
-
Both the DeWind D9.1 and the DeWind D9.2 are particularly effective at meeting the network stabilizing requirements demanded by grid operators using a high proportion of renewable forms of energy.
