The second ENEREXPO Vietnam, the International Exhibition for Renewable and Decentralised Energy Solutions, is being held at the I.C.E. (International Center for Exhibition) in Hanoi from March 21 – 23, 2012. The fair depicts the entire value chain for the generation, conversion, transmission and distribution of electricity in the renewable-energy sector. It focuses primarily on wind and solar energy and is accompanied by a three-day program of conference events.
The fair enjoys the support of several important partners including the GIZ (Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit/German Association for International Cooperation). The Delegation of German Industry and Commerce in Vietnam is planning a business trip for German companies that coincides with the fair. Germany’s Federal Ministry for the Economy and Technology and AUMA (Association of the German Trade Fair Industry) are promoting the event because this market has a great deal of potential as part of the “Renewable Energiesö export initiative. German companies can exhibit at the fair’s German Pavilion at discount rates.
By the year 2020, 5% of Vietnam’s electricity is supposed to be generated by renewable energy sources. The Vietnamese government is sending positive signals for generating electricity from renewable energy sources with a feed-in tariff of US.8 Ct/kWh.
